OAKMONT – In a continuation of her advocacy for the needs of District 33 residents, Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso (R-Allegheny/Westmoreland) hosted House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) during his visit to the district on Thursday.

“My top priority is always to improve the life of district residents, and to do that most effectively in Harrisburg, I need people to understand the district’s unique needs. Pennsylvania is very diverse, and responding to each district uniformly won’t cut it,” Lewis DelRosso said. “I’m grateful Leader Benninghoff made the trip and also that our local officials joined him to share more about the area.”

Springdale Borough Mayor Joe Bertoline and Springdale Township Board of Commissioners President Tony Razzano also participated in the meeting with Benninghoff.

During the meeting, Lewis DelRosso guided discussion about jobs, taxes, public safety, local government, economic recovery initiatives to be driven by House Republicans, small river towns that suffered job loss in the last 25 years, current demographics, and what can be done to help seniors and businesses.

The 33rd District covers part of Allegheny County and consists of the townships of East Deer, Frazer, Harmar, Harrison (part), Indiana and Springdale and the boroughs of Brackenridge, Cheswick, Oakmont, Springdale and Tarentum and part of Westmoreland County consisting of the cities of Arnold and New Kensington.
