ALLEGHENY AND WESTMORELAND COUNTIES – Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso (R-Allegheny/Westmoreland) is holding a free community fair that will host businesses from the health, wellness and career fields for the 33rd Legislative District. The fair will take place on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Tarentum Riverview Memorial Park, located at 400 E. 1st Ave., Tarentum.

“I am so excited to be able to hold this event for the people who elected me to represent them,” said Lewis DelRosso. “This feels like a great way to give back to them and support the needs of my constituents.”

The event will feature health and wellness information and screenings, information on state and county-level services and programs, and apprenticeship and career opportunities. There will be fun activities for all ages available. Kids are encouraged to bring their bicycles to practice their safety skills on an obstacle course. The UPMC Children’s Hospital will also be handing out free helmets whiles supplies last.

Several demonstrations will take place throughout the day. The Buzz 724 will run a fitness bootcamp from noon to 12:30 p.m. A soccer/sports demonstration held by Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena will take place from 12:30-1 p.m. James 5:16 Boxing Center will hold a boxing demonstration from 1-2 p.m. All attendees are welcome to join in on any demonstration.
