HARRISBURG – Legislation authored by Rep. Carrie Lewis DelRosso (R- Allegheny/Westmoreland) has been signed into law by Gov. Tom Wolf. Act 9 of 2022, known as the Early Detection and Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or a Related Disorder Act, sheds more light on cognitive diseases and creates a structure to unite patients and health care providers around cognitive concerns that will lead to an earlier diagnosis of the disease.

Westmoreland Health Care Workers to Benefit from Funding, Lawmakers Say

HARRISBURG – Legislation agreed to by both chambers in the General Assembly will provide federal funding to support health care staff in Westmoreland County and throughout Pennsylvania. Overall, seven facilities countywide will receive nearly $2 million to recruit and retain staff, according to lawmakers representing the county in the state House.
